NC Teaching Fellows Program

Mini Conferences

Fellows at the 2011 Spring Mini-Conference   Each semester UNC Asheville Teaching Fellows meet for an evening of socializing and learning about important aspects of the Teaching Fellows Program and important topics in Education. During the past year Fellows shared information and learned about future opportunities for Junior Enrichment, were updated on "Understanding and Teaching Students with Learning Disabilities", "Best Practices for Teachers", "The First Years of Teaching - Applying Theory to Practice", and "Teaching in the 21st Century," discussed important education literature such as "Catching Up or Leading the Way," and were informed on the latest standards for teacher ethics and licensure. The conferences serve not only as an educational experience, but as a way for all of the Fellows to regularly meet with each other and share experiences.

Agendas for the conferences held during the past year can be accessed below
